A Warsaw infant was taken to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, following a Saturday evening accident.

Ethan L. Morris, 4 months, suffered bleeding to his brain after an accident at the intersection of Old 30 and CR 250E, Warsaw. He was taken from Kosciusko Community Hospital to Lutheran Hospital. Morris was released from Lutheran Hospital this morning around 10 a.m.

Police said the infant was properly restrained in a child safety seat at the time of the crash.

According to an accident report from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, an SUV driven by Mark Morris, 35, Elaine Drive, Warsaw, was northbound on CR 250E when he slid through the stop sign at the intersection at Old 30. Morris’ SUV slid into the path of an SUV driven by James R. Palmer, 31, Columbia City. Palmer could not avoid a crash and hit Morris’ SUV on the driver’s side.

Palmer complained of shoulder pain, and a passenger in his vehicle, Molly Palmer, complained of neck pain. Another passenger in Palmer’s SUV, Olivia G. Palmer, 9, Columbia City, suffered a bruise to her lower arm.

Morris did not report any injury from the crash, but another passenger in the SUV, Stacey R. Morris, 20, Elaine Drive, Warsaw, complained of shoulder pain and was treated and released.

The estimated damage from the crash is between $5,000 and $10,000.
