03-07-2007WINONA LAKE –ÊA Warsaw man was arrested for intimidation with a weapon Tuesday after reportedly threatening a person’s life.
Roy Lee Skeens, 22, of 2814 S. Ind. 25, Warsaw, was arrested at 4:02 a.m. Tuesday on one count of intimidation with a weapon. His bond was set at $2,000.
The Winona Lake Police Department received a call early Tuesday morning about a man pointing a firearm at a person and discharging the weapon in a home on Chestnut Avenue in Winona Lake.
Skeens reportedly pointed the gun and swung it around, causing it to go off and fire a round into a wall in the home. No one was injured in the incident.
When officers from Warsaw and Winona Lake, along with the Kosciusko County Special Weapons And Tactics team, responded to serve a search warrant at the home, they reportedly discovered property stolen from Wabash County and Warsaw.
The incident remains under investigation by the Warsaw and Winona Lake police departments.
