09-22-2005SOUTH WHITLEY –ĘThe Whitko Wildcats fell to a solid Fort Wayne Canterbury squad in volleyball action Wednesday night by the score of 25-17, 25-23, 25-9.
The Wildcats were led by Rachel Gumbiner’s four kills and Heather Chalk’s six digs.
The junior varsity squad was more successful, winning 25-16, 25-13.
The Wildcats moved to 1-17 on the season and remained 0-4 in the Three Rivers Conference.
Whitko will be in action Monday at 6 p.m. in Columbia City to take on the Eagles.

The Whitko Wildcats cruised past Wabash by the count of 4-1. Doru Aldea was solid at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Ryan Denny. Brett King and Calvin Sellers both picked up wins in singles action. Taylor Kessie and Dan Aldea picked up the Wildcats’ fourth win at No. 2 doubles. Whitko moved to 5-5 overall and remained 1-1 in the TRC.
